Lost in 'ME' was a joint exhibition held in Kwun Tong 2014. 'ME' was also refer the same pronunciation '迷' in Chinese, which means 'Lost' , 'be confused' or 'fascinate'. The theme was about the aspect of how we, as a illustrator, feel about ourselves /the world regarding to the topic. Were you trapped in somewhere? Were you fascinated about something? The exhibition were to show the point of view of 8 illustrators.
My work
I had my work illustrated the Hong Kong city look & feel. Speaking of 'lost', I recalled my memory of playing hide-and seek with my neighbours when I was young. I used to live in walled villages. I also wanted to show it is common that building jungle in Hong Kong are so packed and crowed. They look similar that you will easily get lost within them.
The illustration can be look either way upside down. If you look as the angle down, there's a river. If you look as the angle upward, there's a night sky crack with a boat flying up like a spaceship. I wish to show there's always a way to find your 'EXIT' when you get Lost in 'ME/迷', it all depends on your own point of view.
